1. DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter

Phantom31The DJI Phantom 3 Standard may be the cheapest drone on this list, but its performance and reliability is up to par with all the other drones.  It comes with a 12 MP camera, 3 axis gimbal, and the ability to shoot in 2.7k. Advanced sensors allow it to hover in place, even in strong winds, and have a control range of up to half a mile(1km). It also has an amazing flight time of up to 25 minutes which is unheard of at this price point. With a durable design, stable flight, great video quality and the ability to stream live images from your drone, the DJI Phantom 3 is one of the best drones under $1000.

2. DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Quadcopter

DJI Phantom 3 advance
The DJI Phantom 3 Advanced is in many respects very similar to the DJI phantom 3 standard. The differences are minor and only will benefit some people. Of course it’s an excellent drone, it just costs a little more for the extra features. These extra features include a slightly better camera, higher quality (720p) live streaming from drone to controller, and a 3.1 mile (5km) control range. For most people, the DJI Phantom 3 Standard will do the job, but it’s always nice to have options.

3. Yuneec Q500 4K Typhoon Quadcopter

Yuneec_q500buyIf you’re a little more serious about aerial photography, then the Yuneec Q500 is something you should consider. This drone comes with many tools to help you get that perfect shot. The controller has a touch screen built in and has many different control modes for different types of flying. It has a follow me mode, a GPS flight mode, return home mode and turtle and rabbit mode (Slow and fast). The video camera itself is pretty awesome, with the ability to shoot smooth 4k video at 30 fps and 1080p video at 120 fps with the help of the included gimbal. You can also control many aspects of the camera like resolution, light exposure and white balance. It also comes with a case to fit everything in and makes it easy to transport. If you are someone who needs 4k resolution, the Yuneec Q500 is the best drone under $1000 which can do 4k.

4. Parrot Bebop Drone

Parrot Bebop QuadcopterThe bebop is an awesome little drone, with a 14MP camera and easy to use controls. It has all the features you would expect from as drone priced how it is. Return mode, GPS functions 180-degree vision and the ability to change the camera angle.  But before you buy one, you should know that they drone uses wifi to communicate with the controller. That doesn’t mean you have to be in the range of the normal wifi internet you’re probably used to, you can be in the middle of nowhere. What you should know though is it has a short range compared to other drones. This is why I only recommend buying this drone with the Sky controller which boosts its range to 2km.

5. The 3DR Solo Drone Quadcopter

3DR_Solo_Drone_QuadcopterbuyThis is another drone perfect for those who want to take photos and videos from the sky. It has many unique features which most drones Under $100 don’t have.

Unique features:

  • It can stream HD video from your Go pro directly to your IOS or Android device.
  • Smart Shot technology makes capturing breathtaking views easier
  • You can Control your go pro while in flight. This includes starting and stopping recording and changing camera settings.(Solo gimbal required)

It also has four flight modes. These features are not available on any of the other best drones under $1000, so if you want all these features, you have to get the 3DR Solo.

Orbit– Focus your camera on an object and your drone will orbit around it. You can control direction, height, speed and the radius of the orbit.

Follow Me– Sort of self-explanatory, the drone will follow you around without any input needed from you. It will also have its camera focused on you the entire time so you won’t miss a moment.

Cable Cam– This allows you to make an imaginary line that your drone will travel on, so you can focus on controlling the camera and not flying your drone.

Selfie– This will allow you to capture yourself and your surroundings from the air.

The drone itself is very good looking, stable and easy to fly. It’s defiantly an expensive drone, but like all things, you get what you paid for. Although its on the best drones under $1000 list, this drone can go over $100 if you buy all the accessories. Plus you need a GoPro to shoot any photos.

Thank you for reading all the way through. No matter which drone you choose, I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with it. There isn’t a drone here I wouldn’t buy, these are in my opinion, the best drones under $1000 for sale right now. If for some reason you the drone doesn’t work, just contact Amazon support and they usually can work something out with you.
